Flexible AA battery power
Alternatively, power the flashlight with a standard Ni-MH or alkaline AA battery. With Ni-MH power, the 0.5-lumen low mode runs for up to seven days. Meanwhile, an alkaline AA extends the same low setting to nine days.
The rechargeable 14500 cell reaches the full 550-lumen output. However, output is lower when using standard AA battery types. Therefore, select the battery that best suits the required brightness, runtime and charging access.
