Choose the light for the task
First, select white light for general lighting and outdoor tasks. For example, a lower brightness level may suit nearby work better than the highest setting. Alternatively, choose red light for a softer night-time option. The UV source also helps reveal stains during cleanliness checks.
Power, controls and carry
The dual-stage tail switch gives access to Turbo and strobe. In addition, a separate function switch selects the light modes. Recharge the built-in battery through USB-C, then use the clip to secure the light for carry.
The Acebeam UC20 EDC flashlight has an IP68 rating, with a stated water limit of 2 m for 30 minutes. Acebeam also lists 1.5 m impact resistance. However, these ratings have limits: follow the supplied care and charging instructions, and keep the UV beam away from eyes.
